Our Pastor & Wife:Rev. & Mrs. Maurice A. Bates	Rev. Maurice A. Bates has served as the Senior Pastor oftheMount Zion Baptist Church of Pittsburg,CA. for the past 21 Years. He is married to Mrs. Mavis E. Bates. They are the proud parents of two children: Morgan Alexis Bates and Marc Anthony Van Bates. (Pictured above with Actress: Wendy Raquel Robinson of the Steve Harvey Show) Pastor Bates received his educational training from the California Baptist University in Riverside, CA. and the Faith Seminary of Tacoma, WA. In October of 2005, Pastor Bates received his Master’s Degree in Theology Studies at the Faith Seminary and is presently a candidate for the Doctor’s of Ministry degree at Faith Seminary. He is the past President of the Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance of Pittsburg (IMAP) and he currently serves as the 1st Vice Moderator of the Northern/Central District Association of California and Nevada and is the President of the Pastor’s Conference of the United California Baptist State Convention., Dr. Roy Morrison, President.
